The mere-exposure effect describes how repeated encounters may make an unfamiliar item feel more familiar. It is useful for explaining consistent brand cues and repetition.

In the demo, the same symbol appears in sequence while a familiarity curve rises quickly then levels off. This is a teaching model, not a forecast of campaign outcomes.

Repetition does not produce unlimited liking or sales. Assess fatigue and the usefulness of each exposure separately.

When to use

Use it when planning consistent brand assets and exposure cadence.
