Context as a service is an architectural direction: supply shared customer facts and business rules when agents need them instead of duplicating them in each tool. The 2026 State of Martech discusses it as an outlook, not an established standard.

In the demo, customer, product, and brand context flows from one hub to two agents. Shared definitions and permissions can reduce inconsistent actions.

That context still needs access controls and freshness rules. Bad context can spread to many agents at once.

When to use

Consider it when several AI tools need the same customer and product definitions.
