Hybrid AI pricing adds a usage charge to a predictable base subscription. The base grants product access, while the variable portion moves with jobs processed.

Increase the number of jobs in the demo: the base stays fixed and only the usage portion grows. The bill separates the sources of change.

Stripe's AI pricing framework discusses choosing a metric aligned with value and delivery cost. Real contracts should clearly state any allowance, billing cap and overage rate.

When to use

Use when AI costs vary with usage but customers still need a predictable starting budget.
