A retention loop connects a core action to a useful result that gives someone a reason to return. Reminders alone are not enough; the product must create lasting value.

The demo links action, outcome, and return like a clock. Count repeat core actions as well as return visits to judge whether the loop is healthy.

When to use

Use it when designing repeat use or diagnosing a retention drop.
